Ниже — подборка оригинальных стихотворений на английском ко Дню языка / Международному дню родного языка. Разные формы и длины — для школьных мероприятий, постеров, соцсетей или классного чтения.

  1. Short Free Verse (универсальное)
    Language is a bridge of breath and light,
    carved from stories, shaped by night.
    Every word a door, every sound a key—
    when I speak, I carry home with me.

  2. Haiku (лаконичное)
    Tongues like spring rivers—
    many paths, one sea of thought.
    We meet where words bloom.

  3. Classroom Chant (ритмичное, легко читать хором)
    Say it soft, say it strong,
    every voice can sing along.
    Different sounds, one clear way:
    we celebrate Language Day!

  4. Limerick (весёлый формат)
    There once was a chorus of tongues
    From elders, from poets, from youngs—
    When they spoke side by side,
    All the borders grew wide,
    And the world breathed deep in its lungs.

  5. Acrostic “LANGUAGE”
    L inks between hearts and minds,
    A rches across distant times.
    N otes that our elders once played,
    G ifts in the words they relayed.
    U nited, yet richly diverse,
    A live in each tale and verse,
    G rowing with all that we say—
    E very day is Language Day.

  6. Short Rhyme for Posters
    Keep every language alive and clear,
    hold every mother tongue dear.
    When many voices share one sky,
    misunderstanding learns to fly.

  7. Sonnet (классическая форма, 14 строк)
    A word is more than air shaped by the tongue;
    it bears the hush of forests, salt of seas,
    the cradle-songs our grandparents once sung,
    the names of stars, of hopes, of memories.
    When languages stand shoulder-strong as trees,
    their roots entwine beneath the common ground;
    they shelter us from solitary breeze
    and lace our silence with a human sound.
    So let no syllable be cast aside,
    no grammar ruled to vanish, thin and cold;
    for every speech keeps watch, a faithful guide,
    a lantern for the hearts that might grow old.
    Today we lift each voice, each patterned way—
    in many tongues we say: “We share this day.”

  8. Kids’ Rhyme (для младших школьников)
    Hello, hola, bonjour too,
    words are rainbows passing through.
    When we listen, when we play,
    every friend has something to say.

  9. Spoken-Word Style (ритм, пафос)
    I carry a map that isn’t paper:
    it’s the music of my vowels,
    the drum of my consonants.
    I won’t fold it small.
    I’ll open it wide,
    so your path and mine can cross,
    and our meanings can trade shoes.
    That’s how a city of voices is built—
    brick by syllable,
    window by borrowed phrase,
    light on in every tongue.

  10. Quatrain (кратко и торжественно)
    Guard every language, old and new,
    for each reveals another view.
    When voices bloom in shared array,
    the world grows brighter, word by day.

  11. Call-and-Response (для сцены)
    Leader: What’s our bridge?
    Voices: Language we share!
    Leader: What do we keep?
    Voices: Stories we bear!
    Leader: How do we honor
    each voice on the way?
    Voices: Speak, listen, learn—Language Day!

  12. Gentle Lyric (для торжественного чтения)
    Let letters be lanterns,
    let grammar be ground,
    let vowels be rivers
    that carry the sound.
    In chorus or whisper,
    we keep them from gray—
    our mother tongues living,
    this Language Day.

  13. Micro-poems (очень короткие)
    a) One mouth, many worlds.
    b) The smallest word can lift the largest heart.
    c) Languages are gardens; don’t pave them.

  14. Rhymed Couplets (для открытки)
    May every tongue be welcomed when we speak;
    a thousand paths to understanding seek.

  15. Ballad-Stanza (чуть длиннее)
    They said a word in winter,
    we answered it in spring;
    between our homes a river,
    and language built a wing.
    It carried news and comfort,
    it carried bread and flame—
    we met upon that bridge of sound
    and called each other’s name.

Можно брать любое из них “как есть” или адаптировать под конкретную тему (родной язык, школьная сцена, плакат).
