1) Past Simple: was/were, wasn’t/weren’t

#1 We weren’t happy in the hotel. Our room was (1) very small and it wasn’t (2) very clean.
— Для единственного числа («room», «it») — was/wasn’t.

#2 George wasn’t (3) at work last week because he was (4) ill. He is better now.
— Отрицание в прошедшем для «George» — wasn’t; состояние «ill» — утвердительное was.

2) Some / Any; How much / How many; возвратные местоимения

#1 (Some / Any)
I haven’t got any (5) oranges or any (6) milk. — В отрицаниях используем any.
I’ve got some (7) books. — В утверждениях обычно some.

#2 (How much; how many; are there / Is there)
