Dear Anna,

Winter has arrived in our town with a soft blanket of fresh snow covering the streets and parks. Children rush outside every morning to build snowmen and race on small sleds. Yesterday my friends and I made a large snowman with a carrot nose and a bright red scarf. We gave him shiny pebble eyes and a crooked smile that made everyone laugh. The air smelled clean and sharp, and our cheeks turned rosy from the cold. After playing, we warmed up with hot chocolate and cinnamon cookies at a nearby café. The trees looked like they were wearing white dresses, and the lampposts glowed warmly against the twilight. I love how quiet and peaceful everything becomes after a snowfall. Walking home under the falling flakes felt magical and made me think of winter stories. Even though the days are shorter, the season brings cozy evenings with candles and good books. I am already planning another visit to the hills to try sledding again next weekend. I hope you are enjoying the winter too and that we can build a snowman together soon.
