Choose the correct forms. In one sentence both answers are correct.
1. I have had / have been having this house since 2012.
2. I think I have seen / have been seeing her before.
3. She has read / has been reading for hours.
4. Laura has become / has been becoming a doctor.
5. Laura has worked / has been working at the hospital since she became a doctor.

1. have had — the verb have for possession is not used in continuous.

2. have seenbefore indicates a single past experience, so Present Perfect Simple is correct.

3. has been reading — with for hours, Present Perfect Continuous is needed to emphasise the duration.

4. has becomebecome is a change-of-state verb and is not used in continuous.

5. Both forms are correct: has worked (focus on the fact) and has been working (focus on the ongoing process). This is the sentence where both answers are acceptable.
