Great Britain is an island. It includes England, Scotland and Wales. England is one country on this island. The United Kingdom is a state: it includes England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

I think British people would describe their country as old, interesting, multicultural and proud of its traditions. They may also say that it has beautiful countryside, famous cities and a long history.

British food is often simple and filling. Famous dishes are fish and chips, roast dinner, porridge and English breakfast. British weather is changeable: it can be sunny, rainy and windy on the same day.

On a three-week holiday in the UK, I would like to visit London, see Big Ben, the Tower of London and the British Museum. I would also like to go to Scotland, see old castles and walk in beautiful nature.

I do not think Britain has as much political power as it had in the past, but it is still an important country in the world. I would like to visit Great Britain, but I am not sure I would like to live there because life there may be expensive.
