I talked to my grandparents about life in Russia 20-30 years ago. They said that life was different in many ways. People had fewer gadgets, and mobile phones were not as common as they are today. Children spent more time outside, played in the yard and visited their friends more often.

Shopping was also different. There were fewer big shops, and people did not have so much choice. Today we can buy many things in supermarkets or order them online. Communication has changed a lot too. Now people use smartphones, messengers and social networks every day.

My grandparents think that modern life is more comfortable, but it is also faster and sometimes more stressful. In their opinion, people communicated face to face more often in the past. I think both periods have good and bad sides.
