Complete the rules. Write present simple or present continuous. We use the: 1) regularly, always or never. 2) this moment. 3) for something that happens this time. 4) for something happening at for something happening around for a fact that is always true. 5) with certain verbs that we don't usually use in continuous tenses, e.g. believe, know, etc.

  1. present simple — for something we do regularly, always or never.
    Example: I always get up at 7 o’clock.

  2. present continuous — for something happening at this moment.
    Example: She is doing her homework now.

  3. present simple — for something that happens all the time / regularly.
    Example: He plays football every Saturday.

  4. present continuous — for something happening around this time.
    Example: They are studying for exams this week.

    present simple — for a fact that is always true.
    Example: Water boils at 100°C.

  5. present simple — with certain verbs that we don’t usually use in continuous tenses, e.g. believe, know, like, understand, want, need.
    Example: I know the answer.
