   Артикль не нужен, потому что hair здесь неисчисляемое существительное.

2. There is a pen in the pencil-box. The pen is black.
   Сначала предмет упоминается впервые — a pen, затем уже известный предмет — the pen.

3. We have a room. Our room is large. There is a table and a sofa in the room.
   A room / a table / a sofa — впервые называем предметы. The room — уже известная комната.

4. Can you see the cat on the sofa?
   Здесь речь идёт о конкретной кошке на конкретном диване, поэтому the.

5. Where is the bird? The bird is in the tree.
   И птица, и дерево воспринимаются как конкретные.

6. The weather is fine. The sky is blue and cloudless.
   Слова weather и sky обычно употребляются с определённым артиклем в таких предложениях.

7. That is a cat. That cat is mine. The cat is grey.

   После many артикль не нужен. In the street — устойчивое употребление: на улице.

2. Can you see a car?
   Речь о какой-то машине, предмет упоминается впервые.

3. She is a manager. She is at work. She works at an office.
   A manager — профессия в единственном числе. At work — устойчивое выражение без артикля. An office — офис, впервые упоминается.

4. Do you see these flowers? What colour are the flowers?
   После these артикль не ставится. Затем цветы уже известны — the flowers.

5. There is a big brown table in the middle of our room.
   A table — предмет впервые упоминается. In the middle — устойчивое выражение. После our артикль не ставится.

6. There are two kittens in the box. The kittens are black.
   The box — конкретная коробка. The kittens — эти два котёнка уже названы.

7. Do you see the boy in the street? He is a pupil of our school. He is a good pupil.
   The boy — конкретный мальчик. In the street — на улице. A pupil / a good pupil — один из учеников, характеристика. После our артикль не ставится.

8. My sister is a student. She studies at an institute. She is a good student and a good sister.
   A student, an institute, a good student, a good sister — существительные в единственном числе, называющие профессию, учреждение или характеристику.

9. This is a wolf. The wolf is very hungry.
   Сначала волк упоминается впервые — a wolf, затем уже известный волк — the wolf.

10. There is a carpet on the floor. The carpet is new.
    A carpet — ковёр впервые назван. The floor — конкретный пол. The carpet — уже известный ковёр.
