Правильные формы глаголов:

  1. Vera was always afraid of leaving home late.
  2. I'm awfully tired of working.
  3. Her parents insisted on moving to another city.
  4. I want to get a good job.
  5. Greg enjoys walking in the rain.
  6. I'd like to send Molly an e-mail now.
  7. I prefer reading detective stories.
  8. It's difficult to concentrate when there's loud music playing on the radio.
  9. I can't stand waiting in queues.
  10. At first Jenny enjoyed listening to Steven, but after a while she got tired of hearing the same story.

Почему именно так: после предлогов of, on используется герундий с окончанием -ing: afraid of leaving, tired of working, insisted on moving. После enjoy и can't stand также употребляется герундий: enjoys walking, enjoyed listening, can't stand waiting. После want, would like (I'd like) и в конструкции It's difficult... нужен инфинитив с to: to get, to send, to concentrate. После prefer возможны и reading, и to read, но в данном упражнении подходит reading.
