Обратите внимание: в исходном предложении № 10 есть грамматическая неточность: she prefer classical style. В косвенной речи использована форма she preferred a classical style, соответствующая предполагаемому смыслу предложения.

Также при переходе к косвенной речи конструкция said to me обычно заменяется на told me, а said to her friends — на told her friends. После told обязательно указывается, кому сообщили информацию.
