1. Why are some people not interested in sport?
I think some people are not interested in sport because they find it boring or too tiring. Everyone has different hobbies and interests. For example, some people prefer reading books, playing video games, watching movies, or listening to music instead of doing physical activities. Others may not enjoy sports because they had bad experiences at school or do not like competition. Some people are also too busy with work or studying to find time for exercise. In my opinion, sport is important for our health, but it is not necessary to be a professional athlete or enjoy every kind of sport to stay healthy.
2. Do you prefer playing or watching sports?
Personally, I prefer playing sports rather than watching them because I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors. When I play sports, I can improve my physical fitness, reduce stress, and have fun with my friends. My favourite activities are football, basketball, swimming, and cycling. However, I also enjoy watching important sporting events, especially when my favourite team is playing. Watching sports can be exciting, but I believe that participating in them is more beneficial for both physical and mental health.
3. How often do you read sports news?
I read sports news about two or three times a week, especially when there are important competitions or interesting events. I usually check sports websites or social media to find out the latest results and information about my favourite teams and athletes. I am particularly interested in football news, major tournaments, and international competitions. Sometimes I watch short videos with highlights instead of reading full articles. However, I do not follow sports news every day because I have other interests and responsibilities.
4. Would you like to play sport for a living?
I think becoming a professional athlete would be an exciting experience because I would have the opportunity to do something I enjoy and earn money at the same time. Professional athletes can travel around the world, meet interesting people, and participate in international competitions. However, this career also has many disadvantages. Athletes have to train for several hours every day, follow strict diets, and deal with pressure and injuries. Their careers can also be quite short. For these reasons, I would probably prefer to keep sport as a hobby rather than make it my full-time job.
5. Do you have good or bad experiences with sports at school?
Most of my experiences with sports at school were positive. I enjoyed physical education lessons because they gave me a chance to take a break from studying and spend time with my classmates. We played football, basketball, volleyball, and other team games. I especially liked participating in school competitions because they were exciting and helped us develop teamwork skills. However, sometimes the lessons were difficult, particularly when we had to run long distances or do challenging exercises. Despite these difficulties, I believe that school sports helped me become more confident, disciplined, and physically active.
6. How many hours of sport a week should children do at school?
In my opinion, children should have at least three to five hours of physical education at school every week. Regular exercise is extremely important because it helps children develop strong muscles and bones, maintain a healthy weight, and improve their concentration. Sport also teaches valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, leadership, and respect for others. I think schools should offer different activities, including football, basketball, swimming, gymnastics, and athletics, so that every child can find something enjoyable. Physical education should focus not only on competition but also on having fun and developing healthy habits.
7. What are some sports you like watching? Why?
I enjoy watching football, basketball, tennis, and sometimes the Olympic Games. Football is probably my favourite sport to watch because matches are unpredictable, and the atmosphere can be incredibly exciting. I like seeing how players work together and use different strategies to win. Basketball is also entertaining because it is fast-paced and there is usually a lot of action. I enjoy tennis because it requires excellent concentration, technique, and mental strength. I also like watching the Olympic Games because they bring together talented athletes from many different countries and give us a chance to discover sports we do not usually see.
8. Do you prefer watching sports at the stadium, at home on TV, or in a bar on a giant screen?
I prefer watching sports at a stadium because the atmosphere is much more exciting than watching them on television. Being surrounded by thousands of enthusiastic fans, cheering for a team, and experiencing the emotions of a live match is something special. You can feel the energy of the crowd and enjoy the event with other supporters. However, watching sports at home also has advantages. It is more comfortable, less expensive, and you can see replays and close-up shots of important moments. Watching a match in a bar with friends can also be enjoyable because it creates a friendly and lively atmosphere. Overall, I would choose the stadium for important matches and watching at home for ordinary games.
