A Great Person

In my opinion, a great person is someone who makes the world better through courage, hard work, and kindness. One person I truly admire is Marie Curie, a famous scientist who changed the history of science.

Marie Curie was born in Poland in 1867. At a time when many women had few opportunities to study, she worked hard to follow her dreams. Together with her husband, Pierre Curie, she discovered two chemical elements, polonium and radium. She became the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and later received a second one.

What makes Marie Curie great is not only her intelligence but also her determination. She never gave up, even when life was difficult. Her discoveries helped future scientists develop important medical treatments.

I believe her story teaches us that dedication and courage can change the world.
