Identify the forms of the verbs in the following sentences.
1. London is situated on the river Thames.
2. Washington, the USA capital, was built according to the project by the French architect and engineer Pierre Charles L’Enfant (Пьер Шарль Ланфан) who made it as a copy of Versailles.
3. He has been already shown the way to the British museum.
4. Sidney will be visited by our students next summer.
5. Look! The Empire State Building is being reconstructed!

Verb forms:

  • is situated — Present Simple Passive.
  • was built — Past Simple Passive.
  • made — Past Simple Active.
  • has been shown — Present Perfect Passive.
  • will be visited — Future Simple Passive.
  • is being reconstructed — Present Continuous Passive.

Most of these sentences use the Passive Voice, because the action is more important than the person who does it.
