Thanks for your letter. I'm sorry about the arguments with your mother. For me, the computer is a toolkit: I use it to learn, create, and keep in touch with friends and family. I don’t play much—maybe a couple of hours on weekends—mostly strategy and puzzle games that make me think. It helps a lot with my studies: research, writing essays, organizing notes, and practicing languages. Maybe show your mother a project you’ve made and agree on a schedule: homework and chores first, then screen time.
