Roald Dahl’s quotation means that reading is very important for success in life. Books give us knowledge, new ideas and a better understanding of people and the world.

When we read a lot, we improve our vocabulary, imagination and thinking skills. It also becomes easier to write, speak and make decisions.

I agree with this quotation, but I think books are not the only thing we need. Life experience, communication and practice are important too. Still, reading helps a person become smarter and more confident.
