You can only say I know. Here is a list of verbs which are not normally used in
continuous tenses (but there are exceptions):

- He doesn't understand. (not 'he isn't understanding')

- What do you think Tom will do? (= What do you believe he will do?)
but: What are you thinking about? (= What is going on in your mind?)

В этом тексте объясняется правило: некоторые английские глаголы обычно не употребляются во временах Continuous, то есть с формой am/is/are + -ing.

Такие глаголы чаще обозначают не действие, а состояние, чувство, знание, мнение или принадлежность.

  • I know — правильно.
  • I am knowing — обычно неправильно.
  • Do you like London? — правильно.
  • Are you liking London? — обычно неправильно.
  • These shoes belong to me. — правильно.
  • These shoes are belonging to me. — неправильно.

Но бывают исключения. Например, think может употребляться по-разному:

  • What do you think? — «Что ты думаешь?» в смысле «Каково твоё мнение?»
  • What are you thinking about? — «О чём ты сейчас думаешь?»
