Safety at Home

Use this leaflet to remind everyone how to stay safe at home.

• In the kitchen: do not touch hot pans or the oven without an adult. Keep knives safely in a drawer or holder.
• With electricity: never put fingers or objects into sockets. Do not touch electrical things with wet hands.
• With fire: keep matches and lighters away from children. Know where the smoke alarm is.
• With medicine: do not take any medicine unless an adult gives it to you.
• On stairs: walk carefully, use the handrail, and do not leave toys on the steps.
• Emergency: learn your home address and the phone number for help.

Pictures to add: a smoke alarm, a first-aid kit, a safe kitchen, a warning sign, and an emergency phone.

Design idea: use a big clear title, short rules, bright warning colours, and simple pictures near each rule.
