A Flood at Home

One evening it started raining very heavily. At first my family did not worry, but soon water began to come into our house. We quickly lifted our books, clothes, and electrical things onto the tables. My father turned off the electricity, and my mother called our neighbours for help. I felt scared because the water was cold and dirty. We stayed together and tried to keep calm. After some time the rain stopped, and the water slowly went away. The next day we cleaned the rooms and dried our things. This flood taught me that family, safety, and helping each other are more important than any things.
