Разберу не только буквы, но и почему именно эти формы подходят: здесь в основном проверяются инфинитив, герундий и причастные обороты.

Правильные варианты:

1. a / c) to know, to worry
   He seemed to know all about influenza and said there was nothing to worry about.
   После seem употребляется инфинитив: seemed to know.
   После nothing часто ставится инфинитив: nothing to worry about.
   Варианты a и c одинаковые, поэтому оба формально правильные.

2. c) On seeing, come in, having welcomed
   She put down her book on seeing me come in; and having welcomed me as usual, took her workbasket...
   On seeing = «увидев».
   После see + object возможен инфинитив без to: saw me come in.
   Having welcomed показывает действие, совершённое раньше следующего: сначала поприветствовала, потом взяла корзинку.

3. d) to your living, you to live
   I don’t object to your living there, but I don’t want you to live alone.
   После object нужен предлог to, а после него герундий: object to your living.
   После want используется конструкция want somebody to do something: want you to live.

4. b) watching, sorting, brought
   He stood invisible at the top of the stairs watching Irene sorting the letters brought by the last post.
   Watching — причастие, описывает, что он делал.
   Irene sorting the letters — он наблюдал, как Айрин разбирала письма.
   Letters brought by the last post — письма, принесённые последней почтой.

5. d) reflecting, to be
   Andrew could not help reflecting what a charming fellow Ivory had turned out to be.
   После cannot help употребляется герундий: could not help reflecting.
   Выражение: turn out to be — «оказаться».

6. b) to drive fast, of crashing
   I wouldn’t like to drive fast because I’m afraid of crashing.
   После would like нужен инфинитив: would like to drive.
   После afraid of употребляется герундий: afraid of crashing.

7. a) to have been invented
   Paper is said to have been invented by the Chinese.
   Здесь нужен перфектный пассивный инфинитив: to have been invented, потому что изобретение бумаги произошло раньше момента, когда об этом говорят.
   By the Chinese также требует пассивной формы.

8. a) After saying, to speak
   After saying a few words about the author himself, the lecturer went on to speak of his works.
   After saying = «сказав / после того как сказал».
   Go on to do something означает «перейти к следующему действию». Лектор сначала сказал об авторе, затем перешёл к его произведениям.

9. a) to post, posting
   Did you remember to post the parcel I gave you? — Yes, I remember posting it a week ago.
   Remember to do something = не забыть сделать что-то.
   Remember doing something = помнить, что уже сделал это.

10. c) had better, want him to do it
    You had better go and check everything by yourself unless you want him to do it.
    Had better do something = «лучше сделать что-то».
    После want: want somebody to do something.

11. d) our starting, would rather come
    I suggest our starting as soon as possible. I would rather come before sunset.
    После suggest употребляется герундий: suggest our starting.
    После would rather инфинитив без to: would rather come.

12. c) to speak, my going, to turn
    I am afraid to speak to him. What if he really has the power to stop my going there, and means to turn them against me?
    Afraid to speak = боюсь / не решаюсь говорить.
    Stop my going there — формально правильная конструкция с герундием.
    Mean to do something = намереваться что-то сделать: means to turn them against me.
