My favourite sort of music is indie rock, alternative pop, and jazz. I enjoy music with meaningful lyrics, interesting melodies, and a strong atmosphere. My choice usually depends on my mood: sometimes I want something energetic, and sometimes I prefer calm instrumental music.

The people I live with do not always share exactly the same taste in music as I do. One person in my family likes classic rock, while another prefers pop music. My close friends have quite different preferences too, but we often find songs and artists that we all enjoy.

I listen to music in many different situations. I usually listen to it at home while relaxing, doing household tasks, or reading. I also listen to music on the way to work or school, especially when I travel by public transport. In the evening, I often choose quieter music to help me rest.

If I could play one musical instrument brilliantly, I would choose the piano. It is a very expressive instrument, and it can sound both powerful and gentle. I would love to be able to play classical pieces, jazz improvisations, and popular songs.

Yes, I like having background music while I am working, but it depends on the task. When I need to concentrate deeply, I prefer instrumental music or soft ambient sounds without lyrics. Lyrics can sometimes distract me, especially when I am writing or studying.

I do not go to concerts very often, perhaps two or three times a year. I usually go when one of my favourite performers visits my city or when there is an interesting music festival. I think live concerts have a special atmosphere that recordings cannot completely reproduce.

I mostly listen to music online, so I do not buy records, cassettes, or compact discs very often. However, I sometimes buy a vinyl record or a CD as a souvenir after a concert or as a gift. Physical music formats feel more personal and collectible than digital files.

At the moment, two of my favourite performers are Radiohead and Florence + The Machine. I like Radiohead because their music is unusual, emotional, and creative. Florence + The Machine has a powerful voice, and her songs often sound dramatic and inspiring.

The instrument whose sound I like most is the cello. Its sound is deep, warm, and emotional. I think it can express sadness, hope, and strength better than almost any other instrument.

I think I have a reasonably good ear for music. I can usually recognize familiar songs after hearing only a few seconds, and I notice when someone sings out of tune. However, I am not a professional musician, so I would still need a lot of practice to identify notes or play music accurately by ear.
