Полный текст:
I took this interesting photo while I was staying with my aunt last April. It was an amazing rescue. It happened while we were visiting a small village. We were walking along near the river when we saw a group of people. They were looking at something in the water. It was a horse. It wasn't moving much, but it was alive. It was standing in the river and it couldn't get out. As soon as possible, some rescuers came and helped the horse out of the river. After a few minutes, the horse started to eat some food.
Почему именно эти варианты:
-
took — используется Past Simple, потому что фотография была сделана в прошлом: I took this photo — «Я сделал эту фотографию».
-
while — после него идёт длительное действие: while I was staying with my aunt — «пока/когда я гостил у тёти».
-
happened — событие уже произошло, поэтому нужен Past Simple: It happened — «Это произошло».
-
when — типичная конструкция: длительное действие в Past Continuous + короткое событие в Past Simple:
We were walking ... when we saw ... — «Мы шли..., когда увидели...». -
couldn’t — речь идёт о прошлом: лошадь не могла выбраться. Can’t относится к настоящему, а couldn’t — к прошлому.
-
soon — устойчивое выражение as soon as possible — «как можно скорее».
-
a few — перед исчисляемым существительным во множественном числе minutes употребляется a few: after a few minutes — «через несколько минут».
Итог: 1a, 2b, 3c, 4a, 5c, 6b, 7a.
