Some и any используются с неисчисляемыми существительными и существительными во множественном числе.

Some обычно употребляется:

• В утвердительных предложениях: We had some problems. — У нас возникли некоторые проблемы.

• В просьбах: Can I have some milk? — Можно мне немного молока?

• В предложениях чего-либо: Would you like some cheese? — Хотите немного сыра?

Any обычно употребляется:

• В отрицательных предложениях: I haven't got any money. — У меня нет денег.

• В вопросах: Is there any shampoo? — Есть шампунь?

• После отрицательных конструкций: There weren't any chairs. — Там не было стульев.

Обратите внимание на предложения 10 и 12: хотя это вопросы, здесь используется some, а не any, потому что в предложении 10 выражается просьба, а в предложении 12 предлагается угощение.
