A Magic Trick by David Copperfield

David Copperfield is a famous American magician. One of his most impressive tricks is the disappearance of the Statue of Liberty.

During the performance, Copperfield stood in front of an audience near the statue. A large curtain was raised, so people could not see the Statue of Liberty for a short time. There were also bright lights and music, which made the trick more dramatic.

When the curtain was lowered, the statue seemed to disappear. The audience was shocked because the place looked empty. After some time, the curtain was raised again, and the Statue of Liberty appeared back in its place.

This trick was not real magic, of course. It was an illusion. Copperfield used special planning, lighting, and the position of the audience to make people believe that the statue had vanished.
