A disappointing meal at a restaurant My husband and I live in a small town about two miles from the sea. We were very excited when a new seafood restaurant opened. We booked a table. It was the first might. To drink, we ordered some tap water and a bettle of white wine. To eat, we both ordered moules mariniere. It come with bread or French fries. We chose bread. The waiter apologised and explained that actually, there was no Moules martere bread. However, he said he was going to get some from the Asda supermarket. We thought that was strangel He left immediately and came back after about ten minutes. He was carrying a loaf of sliced white bread. We hoped for nice crusty bread, so we felt disappointed. He brought the water and wine. They were warm! We asked for some ice but he didn't bring any. Then he served our bowls of mussels. We were shocked because all the shells were closed. If you cook mussels, you must throw away any which do not open. We called the waiter back over and we told him: Excuse me, but all the mussels are closed". "That's no problem, he replied, I will bring a sharp knife and I will open them for you. At that point, we decided to go somewhere else. We paid for the wine and left. Three weeks later, the new seafood restaurant closed. We were not surprised.
