Keeping Wild Animals at Home: Pros and Cons

Some people want to keep wild animals at home because they look unusual and interesting. One advantage is that a person can learn more about the animal’s habits, food and behaviour. Also, some people feel proud because such a pet is rare and different from ordinary pets like cats or dogs.

However, there are more disadvantages. Wild animals are not used to living in a house or flat. They may become aggressive, damage furniture or hurt people. They also need special food, space and care. In many cases, it is cruel to keep them at home because they belong in nature, not in a cage or a small room.

In my opinion, wild animals should not be kept as pets. It is better to protect them in their natural habitat or in special wildlife centres where they can live safely.
