Основные правила:

• В специальных вопросах не используются do, does, did и меняется порядок слов:
  What magazines do you prefer? → He asked what magazines I preferred.

• В общих вопросах используется if или whether:
  Are you going…? → She asked if he was going…

• В приказах и просьбах используется конструкция:
  told/asked/ordered + object + to + verb;
  отрицание: told + object + not to + verb.

• Обычно времена «сдвигаются на шаг назад»:
  Present Simple → Past Simple;
  Present Perfect → Past Perfect;
  will → would.

• Слова времени меняются:
  tomorrow → the next day / the following day;
  tomorrow night → the following night.
