Correct reported questions:

  • 1. He asked me if I was from France.
  • 2. She asked him if he lived in Mexico.
  • 3. I asked you if you could speak Italian.
  • 4. The woman asked if they were cleaning their bedrooms.
  • 5. The teacher asked me if I had any brothers or sisters.
  • 6. The given sentence is not quite correct. The correct form is: Dad asked me if I would take the exam soon.

In reported questions, we usually change the verb one step back: am/is becomes was, do/does becomes past simple, can becomes could, and will becomes would.
