Photo 1 1 Doing a bike ride would be good for your health. 2 However, you could take part if you didn't have a bike. 3 A bike ride wouldn't be much fun if the weather was bad. 4 You couldn't ask all your friends and relatives to sponsor you. Photo 2 5 You have to spend money hiring the costumes. 6 You couldn't collect much money in one afternoon. 7 You could get too hot if you wore a costume like that on a sunny day. 8 You need to be physically fit, so anyone could do it.

Here are the correct modals for each sentence:
- 1. would — shows a likely result.
- 2. could — expresses possibility even without a bike.
- 3. wouldn't — negative result of bad weather.
- 4. couldn't — it's not possible to ask everyone.
- 5. would — you would have to spend money (hypothetical situation).
- 6. couldn't — not possible to collect much money in one afternoon.
- 7. could — possibility of getting hot.
- 8. couldn't — if you need to be physically fit, then not anyone can do it. (The original sentence had a logical mistake; the correct modal is couldn't.)
Note: In sentence 5, the blank is before "have to", so "would have to" is correct.
