Read the exam task. What do you receive from an English friend?
Our class is planning a green project in the local community. Our teacher has asked us to think of ideas. What do you think we should do? Do you think we should ask people outside the class to help?
Now write a letter answering your friend’s questions. Write your letter in about 100 words.

Dear Tom,

I think your class should start with a simple but useful green project. You could clean the local park, plant flowers near the school and put special bins for paper and plastic. It would also be a good idea to make posters explaining why recycling is important.

Yes, I think you should ask people outside the class to help. Parents, neighbours and local shop owners can bring tools, plants or bags for rubbish. If more people join in, the project will be bigger and more useful for the community.

Best wishes,
Alex
