Sure! Here's a detailed short story in English about an unusual house:

The House at the Edge of Time

In a small, forgotten village nestled between two steep hills, there stood a house unlike any other. It was not the grandest or the most beautiful, but it had an undeniable presence. The house was built with an odd assortment of materials—stone, wood, glass, and something that glimmered in the sunlight, but no one could quite say what it was. The villagers had always wondered about it, but no one had dared to go inside, until one day, a curious traveler named Anna arrived.

Anna was a writer who loved exploring abandoned places. She had heard stories about the house from the locals, who spoke of strange occurrences around it—shadows that moved when no one was around, windows that changed color depending on the weather, and, most mysterious of all, a clock on the front porch that ticked backward.

One foggy morning, Anna decided to visit the house herself. She stood at the foot of the hill and gazed at the strange building. Its tall windows stared back at her like eyes, and the roof seemed to bend and twist, as if it were alive. She took a deep breath and walked up the path leading to the front door, which was slightly ajar, as if inviting her inside.

The moment Anna stepped inside, she felt a strange sensation. The air was thick, almost as if time itself were different here. The walls were covered with old, faded tapestries, each depicting scenes of distant lands and strange creatures. The floorboards creaked underfoot, but the house seemed to hum with an energy she couldn’t explain.

In the center of the living room stood a large, intricately carved clock. Its hands spun rapidly in opposite directions, one going forward, the other moving backward. There was no ticking sound, just a constant hum. Anna approached the clock and reached out to touch it, but before her fingers could make contact, the hands stopped moving. Everything fell silent.

Suddenly, a voice echoed in the room. “You’ve come.”

Anna spun around, but no one was there. The voice seemed to come from all around her, reverberating through the walls, through the very air itself. “Who are you?” she asked, her voice trembling.

“I am the keeper of this house,” the voice replied. “I am time.”

The room around her shifted. The walls faded away, and Anna found herself standing in a vast, endless landscape. The ground beneath her feet was not solid, but seemed to ripple like water. In the distance, she saw figures moving through the haze, some walking forward, others moving backward. Time was not linear here—it was fluid, shifting like the waves of an ocean.

“This house,” the voice continued, “is a bridge between moments, between past and future, between memory and possibility. It exists outside of time.”

Anna felt herself drawn to the figures in the distance. She walked toward them, but the more she moved, the further they seemed to be. She realized that they were not walking toward her—they were walking through time, moving both forward and backward in a constant dance.

"Can I stay?" Anna asked, feeling a strange longing.

The voice responded, "You cannot stay here, but you can carry this place with you. Every story you write, every memory you hold, is a part of this house. You are always welcome to return—in your dreams, in your words, in your heart."

With that, Anna found herself back in the living room of the house, standing before the clock once more. The hands began to move again, this time in perfect sync, ticking forward, one beat after another. The air around her felt lighter, as if a weight had been lifted.

She turned to leave, but before stepping out the door, she glanced back at the house. The walls were still and quiet, as if nothing had changed. But Anna knew better. The house at the edge of time would always be there, waiting for her to return—whenever she needed it, whenever she remembered.

This story about an unusual house plays with the concept of time and memory, making it a place that exists outside the usual rules of reality. The house becomes a symbol of a space where past, present, and future are intertwined, offering both mystery and a sense of timelessness.
