Jack and the Beanstalk - Part 1

Once upon a time, there was a poor boy named Jack who lived with his mother in a small cottage. They were so poor that they didn’t even have enough money to buy food. One day, their cow stopped giving milk, and Jack’s mother told him to take it to the market to sell.

“Take the cow to the market, Jack, and sell it,” she said. “We need money for food.”

So Jack set off to the market, leading the cow by the rope. As he was walking, he met an old man who stopped him.

“Where are you going, Jack?” asked the man.

“I’m going to the market to sell this cow,” Jack replied.

The old man smiled and said, “I have a better idea. I will give you five magic beans in exchange for the cow.”

Jack was surprised, but the old man insisted. “These beans are special. They will change your life forever,” he said. Jack thought for a moment and then agreed to the deal. After all, he didn’t know what else to do.

Jack took the five beans and gave the cow to the old man. He hurried back home, eager to show his mother the magic beans.

When Jack’s mother saw the beans, she was very angry. “What have you done, Jack? You traded our only cow for these worthless beans!” she shouted. In a fit of rage, she threw the beans out of the window and sent Jack to bed without dinner.

That night, something incredible happened.
