Dear Andrew,

Thanks for your letter. It was great to hear from you. I think sport is a wonderful idea.

Many Russian teenagers enjoy football, basketball, volleyball, ice hockey and swimming. At my school we have a gym, a sports ground with a football pitch and a small running track. In winter we can ski in the park near our school.

We have football and volleyball matches between classes, relay races and an annual sports day. The best athletes represent our school in district competitions. I like volleyball most because it is exciting and helps me work in a team.

Which sport do you prefer watching?
