Recipe for Cooking Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams of pasta (spaghetti, penne, or any type you like)

  • 1 liter of water

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil (optional)

  • Sauce or butter to serve

Instructions:

  1. Boil the water.
    Pour one liter of water into a large pot and place it on the stove. Turn the heat to high and bring the water to a boil.

  2. Add salt and oil.
    When the water starts boiling, add one teaspoon of salt to enhance the flavor. You can also add a tablespoon of olive oil to prevent the pasta from sticking together, but this step is optional.

  3. Cook the pasta.
    Add the pasta to the boiling water. Stir it gently to make sure it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pot. Cook according to the package instructions — usually 8–12 minutes, depending on the type of pasta.

  4. Check for doneness.
    Try a piece of pasta to see if it’s cooked to your liking. It should be tender but still slightly firm — this is called al dente.

  5. Drain the pasta.
    When the pasta is ready, pour it into a colander to drain the water. Do not rinse it unless the recipe specifically requires cold pasta (for example, in a salad).

  6. Serve.
    Put the pasta on a plate and add your favorite sauce, butter, or cheese. Mix well and enjoy your meal!

Tip: For a richer taste, save a little bit of the pasta water to mix with the sauce — it helps the sauce stick to the pasta better.
